Prayer
Luke 18:1
‘then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show they should always pray and not give up’
I used to think prayer was this one way form of communication that christians used to vent on God but would never get a reply but more recently i’ve seen the significance of prayer.
Its easy to save the praying for that quick sentence before you go to sleep but i’ve found that building it into your day regularly and just chatting to God helps keep you focused so much more.
Its hard to pray when you feel that God isn’t listening and that he won’t answer it anyway but God loves his children and says in Luke 10:9
‘ask and it will be given to you’
God isn’t going to forget about you or put it off for another day. His timing is just right and he will answer your prayers, maybe not always in the way you expect! :)
Future
Had a pretty intense and amazing few days tbh.
After a bit of a tough week trying to see God in the storm I have been able to refocus myself on him again.
It’s really hard to forget who you are and that your identity is in Christ. Everyone has a calling and God has plan for everyone.
For the last few years the thing that gets me really excited is hearing stories of people who go on mission overseas and do great things. I’d like to think that would be me one day.
Gladys Aylward has been a massive inspiration to me all my life just that she took Gods calling and went and looked back and trusted God so much! She was incredible!
I wasn’t going to go to church this morning and I woke up and just felt God distinctly saying ‘GO’ so I did :) and it was Pentecost and there was a massive presence of God in the church.
We had a brilliant talk and then loads of people went forward for prayer and it was really amazing :) lush spontaneous worship too!
At the moment i’m just really determined to work out Gods call for my life and whether that be mission or not i’m really excited to wait to see what’s round the next corner :)!

Rant
Pretty annoyed that my Dad hasn’t text me a good luck text for any of my exams. Still holding out a hope for the last two exams. Would be nice but i guess im just trying to seek approval from others to kno they are supporting me when really i should just go to God and trust him.
Wah.
Many believers want their church to be cozy and comfortable. They come to listen to a nice sermon, fellowship with friends, and have their needs met. But God never intended for the gathering of His people to be like a country club; He calls us to join an army that will bring the gospel into enemy territory.
AGREED! I’m ready to stand up and fight :)

Examsssss
Only have 2 exams left sooo happy.
After really worrying at the beginning I think i’m much more relaxed now and realising I can still get alright results without letting revision take over my whole life!

God is asking that we work at everything through his trust and love so if we put God at the centre and then aim for dreams, God will guide us and something much better than you expected will probably come about!
Collosions 3:23 ‘work at everything as though you are working for the Lord and not for man’
So yeh, not saying you should not do anything and sit back and say God will sit the exam for you (cus he wont) but you have to rely on God and try not to let the other pressures of life get you down.
